A companion for praying with Scripture, day by day
Free, complete, without advertising, and private: what you pray and write stays yours.
But his will is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and night.Psalm 1:2, Douay-Rheims
What it does
- A morning and a night session, set by a plan you choose: a psalm each morning, and the New Testament read through in the order its events happened, or a plan of your own.
- The Catechism, read in your own copy, with the app keeping your place.
- The saint of the day.
- The whole Bible, open anywhere: book, chapter and verse, apart from any plan.
- A private diary, for what you want to remember from your prayer.
- Memorization of passages you choose, at your own pace, if you want it.
- A calendar of the days you have prayed, and of the plan ahead.
- The Douay-Rheims Bible is included. More translations are to come.
Yours, and private
There is no account to make, and no server holding anyone's prayer. Everything stays on your own phone or computer. If you want your devices kept in step, the app keeps a sealed copy in your own Google Drive, which only your devices can open. Neither Google nor the app's maker can read it. The privacy policy says exactly what this means.
Where it stands
Lectio Divina Tua is in use in its maker's own household now. A small group of friends, families and religious will test it next. When they are done, it will come to Google Play for Android, and to computers and other phones through the web.
